How big is pin trading anyways???

Is everyone pin trading down there??? Those of you who have visited recently, did you notice hordes of guests into the pin trading frenzy??? Should I really bother with a lanyard and all the whole deal, or is just a few pin crazies and we won't feel too left out if we pass on this???
