Okay..

So today is my last day at the office before my trip on Monday. I cannot concentrate at all- and I've got the nervous bug. The excitement is building. Are the rest of you like this? Do you stress out like crazy the last day- or do you procrastinate?

:)

I am usually a basket case my last day of work. I acutally have two 30 hour jobs, which is a load in and of itself. At my outside job, my co-workers are not very computer literate or finance literate (great people though), so I have to try to get any work done before I can go, like running an estimated payroll for the following week, setting up work files, etc. This means I have to do two weeks worth of work in one week.

At my other job, I work from home handling billing and finance for medical practices. So, before I can leave that I must have everything caught up to the minute, or else it affects cash flow for them. (Low cash flow makes doctors very ornery.) The end result is that I am working 15 to 18 hours every day in the week before we leave.

Now you now why I have little hair left (see avatar).

When we went in August, we played it smart and left for WDW on a Monday, so that we had Sunday for me to "chill" a bit before we left.

I too am at my last day of work as we leave saturday evening, and am basically useless. I entered into vacation mode yesterday afternoon and I think I'm going to have to pull a disapearing act over my lunch hour.

Counting down the hours now!!! :sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

As confirmed by my wife...

as we are leaving the MK (last thing is ALWAYS saying bye to MM) on the monorail... she says I'm so depressed. Watching the castle get smaller on the horizon sucks....

I tend to be very productive on my last day of work before any vacation!
There's so much to do!

Avoiding emails....
Ignoring the telephone.....
Checking the WDWMagic boards....
Getting a co-worker to handle all my incoming calls.....
Putting stuff off til I get back.....
Reviewing my "things to do list"....
Saying goodbye and taking souvenir orders from coworkers....
Daydreaming.....

PHEW! Why do I torcher myself so???

Hey....It's usually harder to look busy than to actually be busy....but not on "Vacation Eve" !!!

:lookaroun :lookaroun :lookaroun

This is my husband's last day at work before our trip Sunday! He called me and said he is so excited he can't concentrate. His supervisor threatened him with not going on vacation if his work wasn't done, so he will get things done! He works for one of the Big 3, and his job is very important, so hopefully he can concentrate until work is over! I am currently at home taking care our our 10 week old son, so I have a lot of packing and organizing to do. We'll have to get it done when he goes to bed tonight since he is a handful! I cannot wait to get back home-it's been 1 1/2 years; way too long for my liking. Have a great trip everyone who is leaving in the next few days!

The last day of work

Normally on the last day of work is calm and peaceful. I try to bust through all my projects early in the week. Then on the final day, my door is closed, the phones are off, and I am screening what ever comes my way :hammer:

We leave 4 weeks from today and I'm already in the "Vacation Eve" mode. But I have PROMISED myself that we will not up all hours packing and getting ready. The weekend before, we do not have a home football game, so that day we will pack everything we can. We've already bought supplies so all we have to do is put them in the bag and be ready to leave early Friday morning. I am so hoping that on Thursay night, we order pizza, relax, and watch something Disney, then try to sleep. (yeah, right)

Wow

I have 120 days left to go...Im just as bad as the rest of you folks today...imagine what I'll be like in 119 days. Maybe 118, I,ve already taken the day before we leave off.:p

I have more than a year and already have butterflys (It has been 7 years since I last went). I start packing about 3 weeks before the trip and and the day before I am bouncing off the walls. I usually take the day before my vacation week off to get any last minute things done, but the day before that I still can't concentrate at work.

I leave in 3 weeks from today - I am so excited. It's almost torture. It's too early to really pack, but too close to think of anything else.
To everyone going, have a magical time!
