How are the crowds the first week of March?

I will be in the world from March 1-8; I was wondering how crowded it will be because this is the first time I will be there at this time of the year. Thanks. Also will the temperature be warm enough to go to a water park?

Never been in March - but would suggest that the parks are quite quiet - before the build up for Spring Break and then Easter. The water parks should be warm enough for swimming - they're open all year

We usually go around that time of the year for my daughter's birthday. The weather can be a little cool. Depends on where you are from. It is usually in the low 70's during the day, can get a little cool at night. All in all the weather is usually great. The big problem is that the parks close early. :(

MK at 6:00 maybe 7:00, sometimes a little later on the weekend. Epcot is 7:00 and world showcase closes at 9. Although they have illuminations so you can still stay and shop for a while after the show. MGM was closing at 7:00. Ak at 5.

As we are from Florida we do not think about the water parks-- I do believe they are open. Blizzard beach is usually. Not all will be open but I am sure at least one will be. The pools at the resorts are also heated. Fine when you are in the water-- Just watch out when you get out of the water, especially at night brrrrrrrr.

They used to have E-ride nights for the Magic Kingdom, but did not the last time we were there. Boo Hoo!!! ( If you are staying on property)

Anyway you will have a great time, weather is great and you can get everything done-- Just takes a little more planning of your time. Make sure to check the times on the Disney web site so you will have a head start. Have fun!! It will be time to go before you know it!! :D :)

:hammer: Opps forgot to tell you--- ummmmmmmmm well, uhhhhhhhh The last two years we went it was very busy!! Not at all what we thought. We figured it would be very quiet, but it was not. Lots of school aged children and lines were long for things, especially at Mk.

So this is when you plan around the FASTPASS. Not wall to wall people but more people than we had hoped for. That is why we were not happy when we found out there was no e-ride night.

Like I said just make sure to plan your time. If this is your first time? Do not rememeber if you said, send for the free video. That will help deciding what and where to go.

Downtown Disney is always good for shopping and eating after the parks close and they have almost everything you can get at the parks. So spend your time on the rides ha ha-- shop/eat later.

We were there the first week in March this past year and we thought the crowds ( or lack there of) were GREAT. In fact we have some video of EPCOT and the place was empty. My husband was saying, "Yes it is open". I guess it is all what you are used too. The weather was okay. Some days it was warm and others it was cool. It makes for tricky packing. I'm sure you will have a wonderful time.

Hey jwbeck, we will be there Feb 28 to March 7, same time as you. Staying at BCV (our 1st DVC trip). We have gone in March 4 times, some times the weather is great, others a bit chilly. It seems to have more to do with the weather for the year (Elnino) I know i spelled that wrong!

This year might be a cold one, I am hoping it will change by time we get there, but it has been chilly so far.

The crowds can be moderate. We go then because it is spring break for my hubby who teaches colleage and number of other schools too. It was much lighter when we went mid December or early Feburay. The parks do tend to close early, but there is always Epcot. However it is always better then going during the summer time.

We should start a role call for March, I am jut too excited. Here hoping for great weather and light crowds. BTW we will get there just as 100 years of magic is ending.

No, it's not my first time going. I have been 20-22 times; I'm not sure on the exact number :( I just hadn't been in March, I usually go in February or Summer. Thanks for all the help so far.
