How are crowds right now?

I'm leaving in two days to go down, how have the crowds been lately and are they thinning out?

Whenever I have been in late August, the crowds are still very much present. Mostly late vacationers trying to get the last of summer in before the kids go back to school. You should expect to wait in line for the most popular rides.

The Crowds have been pretty good the last few weeks. Mission Space was up to a 70 minute wait today and the mountains, test track, rock n roller coaster, and tower of terror have all been at least 30 minute waits but usually closer to an hour or more.

Should have qualified this more I think. I am used to being there in April in the weeks surrounding Easter. Are the crowds now busier or less busy than those weeks?

They are way less busier now than around Easter. That's why August is considered part of the value season. Easter is around the time of spring break and the parks are usually packed during that time. When I was at the parks last week, I noticed that there were less guests around this August than previous years. There were only true lines for rides like M:S, Test Track, Kali River Rapids, etc. I even got to go on Maelstrom with absolutely no waiting time. Last August, I at least had to wait 30 mins.
