How accurate are the calendars for September?

I've found them to be mostly accurate. They may add hours, but it's rare for them to remove hours.
I still check them fairly regularly before we go. Make sure and check the Disney site as well as this one.

Be VERY wary of this. They removed an hour during our September trip in 2011, and it really threw a wrench in the works for us. I had us set for a dinner at CRT at 7pm, with a closing time of 9pm. That way, we'd get about an hour of ride time after dinner. Well, I didn't realize that they had moved the closing up to 8pm and the wait just to meet Cinderella was about 15 minutes by itself. By the time we would have finished our food it would have been time to get scooting out of the park. That was also our final night. Needless to say, we didn't eat but instead wandered the park, hungry, angry, and a little upset about the planning. That's the last time I will EVER book a meal within 3 hours of park closing.....

Have fun planning but be flexible and be prepared to tweak those plans as you get closer. I've already got my September days fully planned out BUT the eraser is nearby.:p Keep tuned to the various Disney sites, they have been a valuable tool for keeping us abreast of sudden changes, shutdowns, refurb, etc.

Exactly. I start checking hours as soon as I book and have noticed that they will get extended and they will add EMH as you get closer to your trip. It probably has to do with the hotels filling up, but I have never seen them close sooner.

Things will likely change before the dates. Having additional hours added as you draw nearer a date isn't uncommon.

It is rumored that Disney may take the EMHs away entirely, so who knows there. If Disney knows, they aren't saying.

You can never totally count on Disney for planning purposes, but the info they give you is usually correct.

I have yet to go on a trip to Disney without there being at least minor hour changes right up to just before the trip. They change hours based on lots of operational parameters including anticipated crowds. Bottom line, use the currently posted hours as a guide but be prepared for changes and check frequently right up until you are ready to leave.

LOL - they did that years ago until guests demanded them back. They tried replacing them with the characters in each resort in the morning. Yeah, right. Guests were up in arms. EMH used to be mornings only, then they took them away, and about 10 months later, replaced them with the current morning and evening hours.
