Housekeeping new hire/ schedule expectations

I was recently hired as a housekeeper, and have Onboarding coming up pretty soon. My position is full time and I was told that my hours may vary but wasn’t really given much info about the scheduling other than that, which will be a problem because my daughter has to be dropped off at school early. Other than that my day is open. I was hoping someone could give me some info as to what the hours are typically like for newcomers. I have no problem working full time but would definitely love it if I were able to worke overnight.

If I had to guess, the majority of housekeeping would be scheduled between 11am and 4pm as check out is at 11am and check in is at 3pm for most resorts and 4pm for DVC resorts. That being said, with guests going to the parks early, I believe shifts may begin as early as 7am or 8am.

I don't typically think of Housekeeping as an overnight position, except for those that may be needed to be on-call for spot clean ups or nightly turn down service at deluxe resorts. (I think turn down happens in the 4pm-8pm range?)

I am sure others have more precise info.

The AM housekeeping shift is generally 8am to 430pm. If you're a PM housekeeper, which is someone who would service rooms wanting a later cleaning, turn down service, and general needs, that shift is 430p-1230p.
