House of Mouse

I always wish that more animated features could be incorporated into rides without having to make the whole ride about one movie. Seems that the House of Mouse show on T.V. would make an awesome Toon Town Attraction that could fit this bill. Not only could you get a lot of less popular characters, but also have them interacting with one another.... Copper chasing Cruella De Vil, The Aristocats and Oliver meet the Rescuers, The Wicked queen giving Kuzco an apple... anything could be possible, and it doesn't have to be mean examples like mine seem to be. What does everyone think, and what scenes would they like to see. I think a room with all the side kicks and comedy reliefs would be cool.

I like the idea...but I would want it a little differently.

What you would be is a guest of the club, and you go around it. Through all the areas of the House of Mouse. And you can see all the characters interacting with one another.

Mabey they should make something like this for the Disney attractions, too. Like, a place where all the characters hang out, like the pirates of ther Carribbean and the Tiki Birds and stuff. Its kinda far fetched, but its judt an idea!

never thought of HoM as an attraction, it would be cool as a character dining restaurant kindof like sci fi dine-in (the screen showing old & new disney cartoons) & all kinds of characters visitng your table!! woooo id eat thare!

Restaurant is very good, with various animated charaters who appear on stage to introduce the next cartoon -- I like it, I like it.

Thats an awsome idea!! or they could makeit more of like a character breakfast, lunch, dinner type thing......that would be awsome!

Good idea, but I agree that it'd work a lot more as a restaurant than as a ride.

Actually this idea has been put on the table (WDI) in the past. The main idea was to have a restaurant contructed exactly after the HoM building (i think i have some sketches) where the characters would serve you and perform on stage. Also there would be (just like in the cartoon) a large screen that would play cartoon shorts. There are many more ideas for it but i can't get into to much detail.

So why was this idea scraped? It sounds really good, specially the building being the same! :lol:

This idea was never scraped its just that we need to focus more on getting more "rides" built rather then large scale (expensive) restaurants. Not to many things are "scraped" at WDI. Many things are put on hold or saved and sometimes are built many years down the road.

That is such an awesome idea! I'd eat at a resturant like that!

Where have they considered locating the restaurant? I think MK would be a great place to have a MGM type of themed restaurant. But it would fit at MGM as well, only they have Sci-Fi and Prime Time. Also, if you find some sketches, can you post them?

Well actually its an computer enhanced sketch. You take the original sketch, scan it, then with a special program you solid out the lines, darken and lighten some (lines) and then you use that sketch to do the color placements.
