House of Innoventions Refurbishment

The House of Innoventions in Innoventions East will be closed to refurbishment April 11th - May 24th, 2007. Of particular interest is the location of this exhibit near the exit of Innoventions into Future World East - an area which has recently been refurbished to remove its Innoventions signage entirely.

The Robot Race is not a part of The House of Innoventions. HOI goes down periodically to update it to the most current technology. It's probably the best attraction at keeping up with the times, in part due to it's size and ease of updatability (updatability... is that a Bush-ism?)

House is going down to replace older products that require more substantial construction to remove/add that simply picking them up off of a desk or table and replacing them with a new product. Lighting has to be changed and cues have to be retimed. Also, they are planning on doing general maintenance to the wireless mics the CMs use as well as fix any lighting or other minor show problems. In the past we had problems with the mics going out in the backyard/garage zone.
