Thanks for the update. Where did you find the hours? I have been looking everywhere to make plans. I have contacted Disney...like they care what one small group thinks..still I was sad to see that in the 10 days we will be there we wont have the chance to see the Spectro Magic Parade. I certainly hope that changes. The kids love that parade. We will be at Disney from May 25-June 3rd. but too late on the 25th to hit the parks by the time we get to the resort from the airport and that is the only day schedueled for the parade :(

short hours?

r these hours typical for May? We r going 5-13 / 5-19 - a day for flying... I remember a few yrs ago (4) AK was open for at least 11hrs (this was during the same week) and they didn't have the newer attractions that they have now. i guess disney doesn't anticipate huge crowds during that time. Maybe that's a good thing i dont know. the hrs. will definitely give our family of 5 more rest in the evenings than 4 yrs. ago. Theres always disney quest to keep the older kid occupied & swimming back at the resort pool.I hope the pool hrs. don't close at 7pm....

:(

You really don't need more than one day (9-5) to see Animal Kingdom in my opinion. They only really have 4 major attractions, most of which have FASTPASS. :animwink:

The hours in the beginning of May are lower than they used to be. The hours after May 15th are average. Also, the evening parade and fireworks at the Magic Kingdom has been reduced from previous years.

Most of the pools are open all night. I remember staying at the All Star Resorts and returning from Pleasure Island at 2:00AM and the big pool had many people in it. I think the "quiet" pools close around 10:00.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for posting the hours. It's good to finally have an idea. We will definitely be changing our plans for the week we're there. These hours are aweful! We expected them to be better than when we went in October 99 being Regular season instead of Value season. Especially since you're supposidly paying more money for the hotel rooms (it's costing us closer to value rates due to the promotions). I still don't understand why the hours (especially at MK) aren't longer on the weekends. Here in KC we have the amusment park, Worlds of Fun and on the weekends during off-season the hours are longer than during the week by at least 2 hours. And it's a much smaller park with a smaller attendance.

All I can say is "thank God for Park Hopper passes!"

there is a positive note here.... shorter park hours hopefully means shorter lines.... another positve.... Fast Pass... can't wait to try it out as they didn't have it when we were there last time.

thanks for the information.... we can now plan which park to go to first...

any ideas? we will arrive at WDW 5/13 and we should arrive at po riverside by 11:30. Should we try to hit a park. From what I read they say the worst time to go is in the early afternoon...

any thoughts.... i thought epoct? in the afternoon... we will have a 7day ultimate park hopper pass... in that helps.:D :) :animwink:

I too am disappointed in the hours. But I will not worry until it gets closer to our travel dates. I will be really upset though if the kids dont get to see spectro magic parade with us being there for 10 days! And we have never had a problem getting through AK in a day..but we do use the Hopper Passes and take advantage of E-ride nights which are a big help and worth their costs for us.
