Hotels with complimentary transport

Hi,

I'm trying to get some ideas together for offsite hotels in the I-Drive area that offer complimentary transport (buses) to the various parks.

You see, we could be going with the wife's folks and they won't want to have their own car and they won't want to be getting up at the crack of dawn with their insane son-in-law, daughter and grand kids to hit the parks early.

They will also probably not want to be in the parks until they get thrown out a closing, so we are looking for a hotel that offers transport that runs to and fro from the parks during the whole day - not just once in the morning and then once at night.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Suggestion 1 - Leave them at home or send them to a Spanish beach where they can lie in and sit on their as much as they want ;) Just kidding :D

Suggestion 2 - From my experience of free hotel shuttles outside of Disney property some won't run with the frequency you are after. They have maybe three out in the morning and three in the evening / night. Last one to the parks being about 10:00 and first one back at about 18:00.

Are you booking a package deal? If so, see what hotels are listed as having free transport then find their website and email them directly for the bus timetable.

If you are going to Disney a lot then some of the hotels in Kissimme may be worth looking at as they are closer than I-Drive. However I-Drive is a LOT better for restaurants and shops if you are on foot. Though the Hotels at Lake Buena Vista have a lot within walking distance. I've stayed at Comfort Inn there, which had free breakfast and quite a few buses, here is the timetable:

I know this isn't what you asked for, but the easiest solution would be to stay on property. The Value resorts are very reasonably priced and all WDW resorts offer transportation to all parks every 15 -20 minutes or so from an hour or two before opening to closing. The busses take you right to the front gate of your chosen park so they wouldn't have to ride very far and is a lot more convenient. I think most of the offsite hotels' transportation have to make the rounds to all the parks and DTD. The WDW bus system is very efficient. They could go anywhere when ever they wanted and so could your family.

Bear in mind we Britons tend to stay for two weeks so at $40 that would be an extra $560, which will pay for a lot of extra fun or food in the parks :D

Another thing to consider is that the hotel may only have 1 bus or van, and may share it with other hotels.

That being said, if you go to Animal Kingdom, and it is the last stop, it may take you more than 1 hour to get from your hotel to the park. Also, if you are tired in the evening, the park you are at could be the first stop, and you would need to sit on the bus for an hour while they went to the other parks.
