hotels near universal

Hey all! booked a trip to Disney and I want to go to universal 2 days prior, and I wanted to stay at Cabana Bay but since its memorial day weekend its 200.00 a night. Can any one reccomend a hotel close enough where uber wont cost a fortune and not bad on pricing??

How good of a hotel? You might find some on IDrive but they are pretty seedy. On Memorial day weekend all decent hotels will be at least CBBR's price. For the early park entry I would just stay there so you can take the bus to the parks.

ETA I just looked at Drury Inn (Sandlake and Turkey Lake) 5 mins to CBBR and it is $99 - $159 that weekend. They are nice, have breakfast and 5:30 happy hour included with a shuttle to the park

The La Quinta on American and International is cheap and clean, and the hotel is walking distance to Fun Spot America. There's a Denny's in the parking lot and Universal is 4 minutes away.
