I am staying at The Disneyland Hotel on my trip there this weekend, so I will not be renting a car, and probably won't be leaving property very much. However, I am a fitness freak. I cannot go without a gym for any length of time!!

Does anyone know of any good fitness centers on property? Is the one at the Disneyland Hotel any good?? Can I use one at one of the other hotels if it is larger?? Does anyone know??

Any help would be great!!! Thanks!! :)

All the hotels at D/L do have "workout rooms". However, I think they are just treadmills and smaller machine weights.

At D/L Hotel "Mickeys Work-out" is over by Goofys Kitchen and the ADULT pool and the beach vollyball area.

Hope you enjoy your vist here. Weather has been excelant 74 in the day, clear skys. But, do bring a light jacket it got cold here last night.

You might want to call and check that out. Keep in mind that you may be doing 5 miles or more of walking and standing in the parks! Unless you're used to standing all day, you could be in for some soreness there! :)

The Grand Californian Gym is awesome for a hotel gym. Plenty of free weights and machines, treadmills and the like. Plus they have comp fruit and water, a nice steamroom and if you plan ahead a bit a massage.

The gym was busy from 6-8 in the am but pretty much empty afterwards.

I was staying at the GF and showed my room key once. After that, they pretty much recognized me each time I came in.

Are you sure they let any Resort guests into the Grand Californian workout room? They certainly don't let any guests into the Grand Californian pools...

I know any guest can use the spa, so I assumed they could use the workout room too. I would recommend JoeyJoe ask ahead of time though to be sure.

you pay extra for the spa, though. And being that there is a workout room at each Resort, I would bet money on them not allowing you to go to workout rooms at other Resorts. What would be the point in paying the obscene Grand Californian rates if ppl at other Resorts get to use your amenities?

I called and talked to a Linda at the GC and she said that use of the GC exercise room and spa was exclusive to guests of the GC. Which I agree makes sense, if you're paying the price to stay there you shouldn't have to compete with guests from other hotels to use the amenities.
