Hotel and theme park discounts for employees?

I know someone who may be going to work at WDW and was curious if employees are able to get discounts on hotel stays and theme park passes for friends or family?

ticket discount is kinda, sorta... err.. not that good. Basically sales tax on most tickets (AP is about $100 less ). Resort discount is good though... based on availability (ie, only a certain amount of rooms are alloted at CM rate, and once they're gone, they're gone.), and the discount can be as good as 60% off at times.

I am looking at February 2006(Presidents week). Any idea how soon the blocks of rooms are allocated for CM use?

sometimes a year out, but unlikely. Usually anywhere from 30-90 days out.

Usually if you can't secure a 50% discount room, they also have 25% discounts. Also Check other resorts. When my family came down last year, I was given the choice of 25% at Pop Century, or 50% at POFQ a week after it reopened. It turned out to be the same price at either so we took PO.
