Horror Nights

I could see that working for part of IOA. But, can they really think of doing something scary in Suessland? That'd seem like Disney dressing up Fantasyland as Freddy's boiler room...

Wasn't there a rumour earlier this year about this, but saying that they might alternate HHN between both parks yearly?

it's not rumored.. it's true. We were informed a few weeks back in a meeting w/ the VP. Nothing is happening w/ Seuss from what I understand. The widow of Dr. Seuss (whatever her name is.. Geisel, I think) isn't letting them do anything. They'll prolly just let the kiddies go trick or treating.

They will convert the 2 closest sound stages into the haunted houses, and the Toon Amphitheater will host the Bill and Ted show.

cuz they haven't announced it to the public yet... this was from the sentinel the link you saw.. not from Universal.

But they wouldn't advertize it for one park, and then change it...Would they? i could see them having it at IoA next year, but not this year

it's gonna be there this year.. just wait and see. Plus, if Universal is ANYTHING like most major theme parks, they don't even update their own websites. They have to send the info to a home office where it gets updated

i spoke to the director today (who shall remain nameless, per his request) and it is just below confirmed. They need to find something to do w/ Seuss Landing, and plan a route to the soundstages (haunted houses) before they can confirm it.

maybe they could have you go into the back of the park through the lost continent. It's a longer walk, but they could make that whole street that you would need to walk down into a scare zone.
