Hopper Pass Question?

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this question. My girlfriend and I are going to Disney in a few months and she happens to have rlatives in Florida. There is a huge 4 day hopper discount for Florida residents. Could they buy them with their discount and let us use them. I have never seen i.d.'s checked at the gates before, but maybe some locals could help me out on this subject. Just looking to save a little money.:animwink:

ID's are checked when passes are purchased, but not when they are used.

So in other words, yes your relatives could purchase the passes, and their ID would be checked at that time, but each day you use them there would be no requirement for you to show ID. That would clog the entrances so badly, Disney would never even consider it.

Disney has this really cool finger scanning device... the first time you use the pass it scans your finger... I'm not sure if there is a way to get through the gate the first time and have your fingerprint on someone else's pass... but if your fingers don't match they will ask for id

hope this helps

Thanks DLMAGICDARREN the info really helps. I thought that's how they would do it, but I didn't want to go all the way down there and find out something different. Since were staying at the Polynesian I am looking to save any money where I can.:sohappy:

I don't think the Hopper pass and the play four pass is the same thing(hopefully not) WDWCinch but I could be wrong.

Perhaps I am wrong, the official site does mention that proof of recidency is required for use as well as purchase. But it was always explained to me the machines are only used by annual passholders.

It's not a fingerprint system, it's a system that measures the exact length between your index finger and middle finger. If they requre these measurments at the time of purchase, then you will be required to use these machines for each park entry.

I know for certain park hoppers don't use this sytem, but I could be wrong that Florida residents are required to use it. I hope I didn't mislead you into incorrect information.
