Hoop Dee Doo with a 2 year old?

We are considering going to the Hoop Dee Doo with our 2 year old. Do you think he'd be too young to go? I was thinking with how loud it was and with everything going on that maybe it would entertain him. How long is the show? We were thinking of doing the earliest one they have. Any ideas or thoughts?

My youngest was 2 when we took him to see the Hoop Dee Doo Review. We went to the later evening show and after we ate he fell sound asleep and the noise, laughter and clapping didn't seem to bother him one bit. Of course we had wore him out at AK earlier in the day so that probably helped. I would not be worried about doing it again (of course he's now 9...)

We took my son when he was about 2 and he hated it - too loud for him. We ended up spending most of the time outside at the petting zoo. Then, the rest of the trip we kept singing, "Hoop De Doo, Hoop Dee Doo, my little son hated Hoop Dee Doo!"

I'd say you have to judge on how your son reacts to loud noises... if he's sensitive to them, wait until he's older. It's a hefty price tag to stay outside and look at the animals.

We took our 2 year old (just 2) last year and she absolutely loved it. This year we are going again on her 3rd birthday, at her request. She also sings the songs over and over. If you are unsure, or you don't think that they will like the interactivity, sit on the balcony there is a good view overlooking everything, and it is a bit more removed. You could also try showing him videos on the net to prime him before the event (try you tube).

Neil.
