Hoop Dee Doo Transport Question

I just made a PS for the Hoop Dee Doo. We weren't planning on doing it but we got a great review from a friend so decided to try it. I was amazed I was able to get the 7:15 show for a date only 54 days from now for 7 people. My question is how do we get there from ASMo? We won't have a car. Would it be better going from one of the parks or from the resort? How about getting back? How late do the buses run? The one part of our trip I don't really have a good grasp on is how the bus transport works.

When me and my family went, we were at the magic kingdom and then when it was time for us to leave we took the boat over. Then after the show was over all the buses were shut down for the night, but they have buses waiting outside the show which are marked with the resort name and take your to the resort

The tough part in answering your question is not knowing the date you will be going and what the park hours will be that day.

There are several options to get to the Hoop De Doo and depend greatly on what time the Magic Kingdom will be closing. I will list the options from simplest to more complex.

Option 1: From All Stars take the bus to the Magic Kingdom, from there board the appropriate cruiser or launch at the boat docks to get to Fort Wilderness.

Option 2: Take the bus from All Stars to Downtown Disney. Transfer to the Ft. Wilderness bus. When you get to the Campground, take either the Yellow, Purple or Orange bus that runs inside the resort to the Settlement Depot (this is where the show is located). The ornage one will be most direct.

Option 3. From All stars, go to EPCOT via bus. From there take the Monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center. From there board the bus heading to FT Wilderness and exit the bus at the settlement depot.

Option 4. From all stars go to either Animal Kingdom or MGM (again depending on park hours). From either of those places board the Ticket and Transportaiton Center (TTC) Bus. From there board the bus headed to Ft. Wilderness and exit at Settlement Depot.

Upon exiting the show, there are typically a number of buses lined up at the Settlement Depot whose sole job is to return you to your resort. If this is not the case, simple board any bus headed to the the campground parking lot (aka Outpost Depot) and then board a downtown disney bus. Upon arrival at Downtown Disney just switch to the All-Star bus.

As a word of caution, I would allow a minimum of 1.5 hours travel time in addition to the amount of time you usually allow for arriving early to a reservation. If you get to the campground early, rest assured there are things to look at to kill the extra time. If you are going to use Option 2, I would consider adding an additional 30 minutes to the time as busses can quickly fill up at the all stars and DTD which means you may have to wait on a bus or two before being able to board and head out.

I hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to post them here and I will do my best to assist you in navigating our world.

Cool.

Just take option 1. The bus from the all-stars to Magic Kingdom and then catch the appropriate boat to Ft Wilderness. I would be at the All-star bus stop no later than 5:45pm. Its about a 12 to 15 min ride to the Magic Kingdom normally. This will give you about an hour to catch a boat to arrive before the show at 7:15.

When the show is over just walk to the Settlement Depot bus stop and check out the situation. If there are a bunch of busses there, just as a driver which one is going to the All stars. If there arent, then take one to the outpost parking lot and catch the Downtown Disney bus. Its also possible to get the Downtown Disney bus from the Wilderness Lodge just in case you run across a bus on its way there.

Do not however, let anyone convince you that you can get to any resort from the Ticket and Transportation Center. Buses from that location only go from park to park and to Wilderness lodge/Ft. Wilderness. On this date when the show is over, the only bus that will be running from TTC will be the Wilderness one as the other parks will have been closed for a couple of hours.

I hope this helps. There are many many Cast Members at Disney who can't answer transportation questions because they never actually utilize the system as they go from their house to their work location each day.

Have a great vacation!!!

My hubby just reminded me how we made our way there and back.... We took the bus from our resort to Downtown Disney then transfered from there to the Wilderness Lodge where we caught the boat behind the lodge over to the campground.

When we got out of the show we took one of the many buses that were waiting back to Downtown Disney and caught the bus to our hotel.... We tried to get an easier to way to get there, not so round about, but no one could ever give us a straight answer...

It worked out fine though with a minimum of wait times.
