I have this booked for one of our dinners on our trip. I think this is the dinner show I did with my parents back 20+ years ago but my Mom can't remember for sure. I read reviews on tripadivsor that seem good, say the food is good but show is what makes it basically. Anyone care to share their review of it?

Also when we go its will be the week of my husbands 41st B-day, is there anyway to assure that he'll get some kind of special attention? I did mention it when I made the reservation.

Make sure you let dining know you are celebrating and order a cake and candles to be delivered to your table.HB!!

Lucy, if it hapoens to be the night of his birthday, go ahead and mention it, but if not try not to do it at every place out, otherwise I fear they will stop special surprises if people expect them the whole week they are there.
As for the show, its great, I got picked out of the crowd last time, which sounds fun but at the time I had taken FULL advantage of the all you can drink wine and beer lol! I made it through though.

Is this really all you can drink sangria?!
Yes. And it isn't bad.

The show is fun. The food quality varies and they're always playing with corn...will there be corn or not? Will it be on the cob? Will it be loose and dried up or tasty? They cannot seem to stick to the good corn they once had. But the rest of the food is usually very good.

I liked it better before they changed a couple songs, but its still a really good show. :)

We celebrated our boys' 7th birthday there and it was truly a hoot! The boys loved playing the washboards!:) We let our server know and she brought the dessert w/ a candle and had the cast members sing happy Birthday! The actors/singers/dancers came to the balcony ( Category 3 seating) and made a huge deal out of their birthday ( they were wearing their b-day buttons of course).:D
The food is southern style BBQ. The ribs are delicious, but messy. They give you wet naps though.;) All you care to eat! Yummy!:) It is well organized and we would definitely do it again on another special occasion! Enjoy! Yee Ha!:D

we have done the show three times and i'd do it again!!! my wife was picked to be the can can girl on our second trip!! My son was not happy that a man took his mom away "for her beauty." He stood there with his arms crossed and was not happy. I couldnt stop laughing. Not sure what was better, my wife being part of the show, or my 6 yr old son being protective of his mom. Either way, take advantage of the adult beverages. we have had two great servers and one that was sleep walking. the two that were great never let our glasses get empty! drink up!:p

Love it! Our DD was so mesmerized the first time she saw it (age 5 ... now 22), she requests it every visit now. They always have a part where they come into the audience and ask for special celebrations. Definitely tell your server that it's your hubby's b-day.

Thanks for all the reviews of the food and show.

I know my DD will love it so we still have it planned for our trip. DH and I will definitely be letting the drinks flow too! LOL
