Honeymoon Surprises

Hi all, I'm new to the forum here and looking for some opinions and advice if you've got 'em.

I'm keeping this a little vague incase someone I know is reading, because you never know. ;)

My fiance took me to Disney World earlier this year. I had never been before and was excited just to be going, but then he completely took me by surprise and proposed to me during the fireworks at Epcot. It was the most amazing week of my life.

So we are working on wedding and honeymoon plans now, and we are absolutely planning on going back, because it seems fitting that we'd go back to where it all started, right? What I want to ask because I haven't found a definitive answer or similar situation on any forum anywhere, is if I wrote to or called Disney, would they set up something special for us when we get there? I am not sure what I want to do, but I sort of want to give back as much surprise as I got in some way.

I'm looking for ideas, advice, or anything anyone has to help me out. Thanks!

Well... first things first: CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :ROFLOL:
OK... lets say you are planning a Disney Honeymoon, (FYI: staying on property is the BEST!) let them know you are celebrating your honeymoon and the surprises just keep on coming!! Maybe make some ADR's at a special-to-you resturant- & when they know its your honeymoon, all kind of special things happen at the resturants as well; booking a fireworks cruise (that your soon to be hubby doesn't know about); maybe he's interested in those 'back stage' tours; tix to see La Nouba....
Now, are you interested in planning a Disney Wedding? Then that is a whole different ball game... and, I've only heard about this, but its probly one of the best Disney experiences you'll have. I know I've seen a few people on this site that have gotten married there or are planning a Disney Wedding... and it all sounds WONDERFUL!
Give it another day (or maybe a few hours) and people will start posting some GREAT ideas.
Congrats again!!! Have a wonderful time planning whatever you choose!!!! :sohappy:

Congratulations!! :)

Check out www.disneyflorist.com
They can have many things delivered to your room. They categorize everything on their site so you can pick whatever you want. They also have a big range of prices. I used this for my honeymoon & it was great!

Cake Hotline: 407-827-2253
If you call 48 hours or more in advance, you can custom make a cake to be delivered at a restaurant that you have ADR's at. These also range in price. They'll help you pick characters you might want, or flavors of cake, and size, etc.

A little more pricey, but custom made. You tell them the age/interests of the person you are surprising. They will make something for them with your help. My husband did this for me, and they created a scavenger hunt in the MK for me. Like I said - pricey, but worth it IMO. If you want to read my story about it, it's in my blog.

Hopefully those things give you some ideas! If I didn't explain anything enough, feel free to PM me. I've used all 3 of these services & loved them all. Good luck.

CONGRATS!

My husband and I got married almost a year ago now and spent our honeymoon at Disney. It was a great experience and you get lots of little perks like champagne and desserts and it's just nice to have all the attention. Make sure to ask for your just married buttons at the front desk when you arrive and you can't go wrong with the wedding minnie and mickey ears.

Also I would suggest doing the Disney Honeymoon Registry it was great, plus you get a free honeymoon tote for your trip.
