Hey all!

My soon to be wife and I are heading to WDW for our honeymoon (staying at the Poly). This is our first trip in October. Does anyone have ideas on any romantic activities? Also, what should we pack? What is the weather like? Thanks everyone!

Hello =)

I just got back from my honeymoon, so I have a few tips for you! I also stayed at the Poly, it's beautiful there.

Make sure you get the free buttons that say "Just Married". You can get them at the front desk at the Poly, or at guest services in the parks. Also, if you guys are into wearing the mouse ears, it's great! We wore the buttons & ears, and we got a few free desserts, a special phone call from mickey & minnie, signed pictures under our door congratulating us...etc etc. Different things happen to different honeymooners, but usually little magical things will happen if you've got on your ears & buttons.

If you use Photopass at all, there is a border that says "Just Married". So try to get a good picture in front of the castle & get it printed with the border on it. It's a great souvenier!

The most romantic thing we did on our trip, was watching the Wishes fireworks from the Poly beach. There were very few people there. We got a beach chair, watched the water show & the fireworks. It was my favorite part of my honeymoon.

Lastly, if you'd like to have something nice delivered to your room for your bride, look at www.disneyflorist.com - my husband had a glass slipper & tiara waiting in the room for me. Not that I needed it, but it was such a great surprise. There are tons of things you can choose from.

Have a great time! :)

When we went in October the weather was great - definitely shorts / t-shirt weather. As always bring along a light layering piece (it can get cool if it is breezy and indoors in the air conditioning). We stayed concierge at the Grand Floridian and did the couples massage which was wonderful (great for getting rid of the last of the wedding stress!) Make sure that all of your reservations are noted as a honeymoon, including your dining reservations. We got free desserts and customized menus at some of the restaurants. Disney Florist is fantastic - my DH always has some flowers or a gift basket waiting, and they are well done & the flowers lasted all week. The tiara / slipper is a great keepsake - they can engrave the slipper with a short message & date so it is a beautiful commemorative gift (I keep my engagement ring & band in it). Don't forget to get a beautiful photo with bride & groom ears in front of the castle. It is so much fun to have everyone congratulating you as you walk around!!
