Hey everyone,

My fiancee and I will be having our honeymoon at Disney in May. Any tips on things to do or restaurants? We will be staying at the Old Key West Resort.

Thanks!!

I'd say California Grill, but I will be in WDW in May on my honeymoon as well and WDW is ruining that for all of us with a refurb apparently...what sort of dining are you looking for? It's hard to recommend somewhere when you dont know if someone wants a dinner show, sig. dining, just a nice casual affair or a quick eat...

Be silly and not so cliche all the time. The best meals we had on our honeymoon were the ones we were able to be kids: Crystal Palace, Donald's Breakfastsaurus (now Tusker House). Do go to the classics, but don't only do them. Boma, Ohanas, and Cali Grill were all great too, but not as memorable.

Think for yourselfer
Dinner and drinks at the Wilderness Lodge....

Start with Dinner at Artist Point ( http://www.wdwmagic.com/dining/artist-point/menus/22feb2011-artist-point-dinner-menu.htm ) then head over to the Territory Lounge for drinks ( http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2012/08/05/review-the-territory-lounge-at-disneys-wilderness-lodge/ )

Maybe do this on a night the MK is open late, and have a trip down Main Street as a night cap?

Edit to add:

If you do decide to head to the MK afterwards, make sure to take the boat. Magical ride, especially at night.

First off have a great time and OKW is a great resort. Pretty quiet for the most part. Make sure you take the boat to Downtown Disney Especially at night. It actually can get romantic especially if no one else is aboard.

Artist Point is a great choice, but also Try California Grill.

I had my honeymoon at Old Key West this past August. It is a great resort for a honeymoon. It offers a lot of privacy, and being able to park right near your room is a plus, too. In regard to special activities, my wife and I did the Wishes Dessert Party at the Tomorrowland Terrace. When you book it, tell them it's your honeymoon and they give you the best seat in the house. They also place cards on the table that say, "[your last name] Family." Although they do it for everyone, it's a nice touch and great keepsake for a newly married couple. My wife and I also did the Wild Africa Trek at the Animal Kingdom and the resort-wide Backstage Magic Tour on our honeymoon. While both can be pretty costly, on the Wild Africa Trek, they take all the pictures for you, so you can enjoy yourselves without having to worry about pictures. This is great for a honeymoon, since you’re concerned about capturing those special moments from your trip. (They mail you a CD.) Backstage Magic is great too, but I wouldn't recommend it for first-time visitors, since it does give away a few magical secrets.

Congrats and welcome to our happy sight!!! Make sure you see wishes, maybe even do the desert party! Try to get an ADR at BOG. Don't forget to wear your bride and groom ears!!!!!!!!!
