Anyone know the recipe for Dole Whips?
I'd really like to make some at home, because I've never had one at WDW (but, don't worry, I definitely will)

What the heck, that doesn't sound like a Dole Whip I've ever had.

I would think the recipe is just Pineapple flavored Soft Serve. Add a bowl and a spoon (napkin optional) then eat. :lookaroun

The best way to attempt to get the nostalgic flavor of a Dole Whip at home is to make a Dole Float.

Put 12 oz of Dole Pineapple juice in a glass, top with one or two scoops of softened vanilla ice cream.

It's just a substitute, but a decent one.

Ingredients:
1 Quart pineapple juice (Dole)
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups cream
3 cups sugar
milk

Mix the pineapple juice and sugar until all the sugar is dissolved. Next add the cream and vanilla. Poor mixture into the Ice Cream Maker. Add milk to the "fill line" Follow the regular instructions of your Ice Cream Maker. Serve right out of the Maker for a soft serve taste or place in freezer and allow to set.

That sounds a little better. No Cherries or Chocolate Chips.

I will definitely try this, thanks.

I think the recipe would work. However, I think I would substitute whole milk for the cream.

It would make it lighter and more like WDW whips, which are non-dairy.

Although I haven't tried this, I just might someday. I have one of those ice cream makers where you freeze the metal can, then put in the mix, and spin a dasher thingy. I wonder how plain pineapple juice would taste in that--probably pretty good, I would imagine.

The "floats" are a waste of money. They cost about as much as buying the pineapple juice and soft serve seperately, yet contain half as much product. Rather than buying a float, buy the 2 items (juice/soft serve) and you'll end up with twice as much juice and soft serve for the price of 1 float.

Those who are really "big" fans of pineappe juice can freeze about 1/3 to 1/2 of a water bottle of it overnight, filling the rest the morning you head to Disney. MMMMmmmm.:sohappy:

I read it all, but thanks anyway. it still did not sound right to me, the second one does.

Timekeeper, the Dole Floats are so cheap anyway, why bother. $3 is not really that high.
