Home resort reservations?

We are looking to buy a WL resale toward the end of the year (DEC, JAN). We would like to make our first trip down for our daughter's 3rd birthday (DEC 20th- 26th of 2009). Were looking to bring my parents, sister's family, plus my family (8 total). My question is; knowing that this trip is during Christmas , how difficult would this be to book if done roughly a year in advance?

Booking the VWL during Christmas must be done exactly at the 11-mo window to avoid disappointment. VWL is extremely popular in December.

Thanks for the info. Does 11 months mean from the date I request (Ex: If I want to check in Dec 20, 2009 I can not make my reservation until Jan 20, 2009). Or does 11 months mean from the beginning of the month (Ex: I have to wait until Feb 1st to make a reservation for Dec). I hope my question does not seem silly, I just want to make sure this trip happens!

It is 11 months from the date you check in. Call on Jan 20 for a Dec 20 check-in. Good luck!
