Home Away From Homes

We are now considering our option of the home away from homes. Assuming that the price is alright, how do these measure up? What is the transportation like? Are there restaurants and places to eat nearby?

We would like alot of space because it will be me and my mother, and my sister and her newly wedded husband. We would all like privacy so I'm wondering how big these "homes" are.

Please let me know all the details about these.

Are you talking about Disney's Home away from Home resorts like Beach Club Villas, Wilderness Lodge Villas, Old Key West, etc?

Or are you talking about off-site houses that you can rent by the day or week?

The transportation, restuarants, etc in the Disney properties will be comparable to regular resorts.

This does come at a price. Depending upon the season, a 2 bedroom villa will be $500 to $1000 per night.

Perhaps that doesn't make the blood rush out of your head like it does mine. But for around $500 per night you could get 2 rooms at a deluxe resort.

I found a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom off-site house for $760 to $1200 per week, depending upon the season.
