I've been to Disney Three times in the last year and a half. I thought I did everything there was to do. But I have no idea what an Eride is. I hear every one talk about them. I thought they were nights or rides you could go on after the parks close but now people say they are going to place favorite rides like the Great Movie Ride??

E Rides refer to the early days of Disneyland (and I believe WDW), where instead of one admission price for everything, you bought ticket books for attractions. The tickets were lettered A through E, with E being the most expensive ticket for the top rides. The ticket books are gone, but the term E-ride or E-ticket ride has stuck.

Cool! I knew what an Eride was, but I never understood where the term came from. Thanks for the insight.:sohappy:

I wonder if they brought back the ticket books for WDW if the price of an entire visit would go down. Would the price of a day at Magic Kingdom be more or less than $50 with ticket books???

Um, Tokyo still uses Ticket Books? Then how come you can buy a 1, 2 or 3-day pass as well as length of stay passes there? Is there something I'm missing -- we're planning a trip for late next year to Tokyo (gotta save up the bucks, ya know!) -- and I haven't read anything about ticket books in all my surfing.
