We did 6 character meals this trip - Ohana breakfast, 1900 PF Dinner, Tusker House lunch, Garden Grill Dinner, H&V Dinner, and Chef Mickey Dinner.
We all agreed that the food at Hollywood and Vine was the best. The variety and freshness was better than all of the rest. This really surprised me, because I had read a lot of negative reviews prior to our trip. I loved the lobster mac, fresh fish, beef, risotto, kale salad, etc. The desserts were also amazing - the pumpkin cheesecake was delicious, banana cream pie, coconut macaroons, etc. It was also great seeing the characters dressed up in Halloween attire. Their handlers were trying to move them along, but they spent a good amount of time with us. Minnie was stationed at the front with a great Halloween backdrop for a group photo.
As far as character interaction, Garden Grill takes the cake. It is a smaller restaurant and the characters each came around to our table twice. They were also very playful and spent a lot of time. We were seated on the upper level which wasn't the best background for pictures, but the lower level tables had some awesome backdrops of the greenery from Living with the Land (well when the restaurant turned that way).
I will also give props to the character interaction at 1900 Park Fare. The stepmother and sisters were really fun. Drizella proposed to my 2 year old son and gave him a big smooch on the cheek, leaving behind her lipstick. Such a fun memory! I was really looking forward to sushi as 1900 PF (as I had seen in some review), but there was none
Overall, we were not impressed with the food there, but the gummi bears at dessert were nice!
