Hollywood Studios this Friday (5/16)

So the time has come down to the final 48 hours before I head back down to WDW to celebrate my 21st birthday. Since the anticipation has been getting the best of me I was looking over my itinerary for the few days that I'll be there and noticed that I have scheduled to be at HS on Friday, and I know that is a Star Wars Weekend date. I am wondering what am I to expect on Friday during the day while I'm there. I'm not a huge fan of Star Wars so I do not plan to do any of the special activities but was curious as to how the crowds and so forth are in the park during the day. Not that it is going to hinder my trip any I am only trying to prepare for that day.

It will be busier than a standard day that's for sure. There will be people camping out before opening to get autograph tickets.

Be sure to see the firework show at 9:30. It is Star Wars music, but it's a great show, and something that doesn't happen often at the Studios.

Happy 21st! I went to Reno for mine...or was it Tahoe...so long ago I can't remember, just that we rode a bus to get there because the car we owned at the time burned more oil than gas and I was pregnant so .....the celebration was a bit subdued.
I imagine opening SWW will be quite busy at HS, but oh well it will be exciting too. This is my first trip during SWW and I'm excited. I arrive Sunday and am running to EPCOT as quick as possible to grab a few remaining foodie samples from F&G, and then headed to HS. I have a FP for one of the evening shows, so very excited.

Thanks for the tip! We're here now and making the most of every minute. Not too many issues except for monorail orange going down last night at the TTC for one loop and some showers heading through the area. We changed up some of our FastPasses and plan to hit HS in the morning and see how it is and possibly use the afternoon to relax or go to another park. Not sure what we may end up doing. So far we've decided to just go with the flow and let whatever happen, happen.
