Hollywood Studios closing @6pm on 10/8/14

I received a phone call from 50's PT that park closing at 6 (had to change res). Does anyone have any insight as to why the park is closing early that day? I call Disney and they had no reason and I haven't been able to find any info online. Just curious!

Most likely a company/group rented it out for a private event.

Probably being rented out by Gartner for their annual Symposium.

Studios is the cheapest to rent out for conventions and they have quite a few each year. It's probably just that. I could bet on it.

No, but sometimes those who are renting the park like to tell people. It is for Gartner Symposium.

I don't know, but it happened basically on the same date last year when I was there and was wondering the same thing at the time...there might have been a conference going on at the swan/dolphin or something.

Really curious how much that costs.

Also think admission should be cheaper that day, since they are closing early. I feel the same way about these hard ticket events. If my admission doesn't get me full park hours, i shouldn't have to pay the whole price.
