Hollywood Studios Busy Today

Hollywood Studios was EXTREMELY busy today! They had an extra magic hour at opening (8AM) and this is the first weekend that Seasonal Passholders haven't been blacked out in almost two months. To put it in perspective, TSMM had an 80 minute wait at 9AM. By 11AM, all of the fast passes for the entire day were gone. That's just plain crazy.

This past week easily has been the second busiest of Summer, behind only July 4. Also, this is the last weekend before most of central Florida goes back to school, so could be a last hurrah thing for locals.

Funny you hear so much about Disney better do this or that or they will fall but it appears they aren't doing bad even with "stale" parks

With that being said I also think they need to build more but nothing is really driving them to...not even Uni

The op stated the fact...and I was just stating the obvious - there's no rant in there (and this is the same forum I believe unless its been moved)

We can't deny the fact that they are in no hurry to build more....though I and I know many on here wish they were

Be glad you weren't there this morning. I did check the My Disney Experience App though, and it says that there is currently a 90 minute wait for TSMM. That is hardly 'dead.'

lol - thanks man - haha I'm not evil....I just try to be realistic especially when no one knows all the facts these days other than Disney need to get their rear in gear and build stuff but it doesn't look like they are in any hurry

Parks being busy in mid-August is kind of par for the course. Hot, humid, busy, good chance of rain in the afternoons/evenings. It's a typical mid-August day.
