Laughing Place has the first part of their photo tour of the Hollywood Hotel. So far I like what I see. I can't wait to see more of the outside, landscaping, and pool area.
Argh, now you've got me wanting the Ambassadror for WDW. You're right, this should definitely be the next Deluxe Resort.jrriddle said:Like the rest of the resort. It' really nice. BUT...
It's a fantastic hotel. They should really build something like this near D/MGM at WDW when the time comes for a new Deluxe hotel.
(here comes the but)
It's really just a pale imitation of the Ambassador at TDLR.
If you have never seen the Ambassador check out the TDLR official website.
I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for The Disneyland Hotel.

But a beautiful hotel none the less.

I've been lucky enough to get to TDLR (part work/part bday gift from my girlfreind). It is the most incredible place. It puts the American parks to shame.
jrriddle said:I would like to see more hotels attached to parks. DLP and TDS are the best ones. DAK's lodge and DCA's GC are also close to the parks. TDL is getting a third hotel right near the entrance of TDL.
I don't think that there is room, but how great would the Ambassador look from Hollywood Blvd? Or a really nice themed hotel in World Showcase? Or a DLP style Disneyland Hotel over the gates of The Magic Kingdom?
stitchcastle said:An Ambassador style Hotel in front of MGM would look gorgeous.
Having a DLP style Hotel over the MK gates? Not really. It would destroy the feeling of anticipation built up when you see the park from across the Seven Seas Lagoon.
stitchcastle said:I kinda would rather see the back of Fantasyland expanded as part of the park and not necessarily a hotel. And depending on the height of the hotel, it would still ruin the view of the park from across the lagoon as it would make Cinderella Castle look miniscule.
If they were to put in In-park hotels in WDW, It would be much more appropriate for the other 3 parks as opposed to MK which already has monorail serviced hotels up the wazoo![]()
