Hollywood and Vine character meals at MGM

Last week while at MGM my daughters and I had lunch at Hollywood and Vine. We weren't planning on having a character meal but decided to eat lunch there after looking at the menu and prices at the Prime Time Cafe. I made a priority seating at the front door for 1:00 (an hour before) went on Star Tours, shopped and got the kids face painted while waiting for my reservation.

It feels great to sit down for a nice lunch and have entertainment. Our waiter was great and kept refilling our drinks (no charge for refills). It's a buffet but the service is superior. My kids love buffets and for $9.99 for each kid and $17.99 for myself its well worth the price. The food wasn't your standard buffet food either. The Menu: Chicken Ceasar Salad, Roast Pork (that my daughter ate!), Bruchetta, Asian noodle salad, Flank steak in sauce, Garlic mashed potatos, Spanish rice, Herb Roasted chicken and more that I can't remember. The kids also had the usual, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, hotdogs etc. as well as a Ice cream Sunday station with candy toppings. It makes me hungry just thinking about it.

The characters interact alot with the kids as well as the adults. Goofy and Minnie stage a dance near the Sunday station and the waiters and waitresses really get into it. We stayed for 1 1/2 hours and were thouroughly fed and entertained. I highly recommend it.

Hollywood and Vine is our favorite Character Breakfast. We find it to be less crowded than Chef Mickey's and the dance number is fun. Glad you enjoyed it. We have teenagers so all-you-can-eat is something we try to do often.

Heading for the great escape.
We all enjoyed it. The food was good and plentiful. There was enough variety to cover all tastes. Do they still do smoked salmon? And enough time with the characters to get some good photos.
