Holiday Questions

I've been to WDW during the holidays before, but it was the week in between Christmas and New Years.

This time, we are going from 1/2 to 1/6. According to the Disney site, the official holiday celebrations last until 1/3. We will be in Magic Kingdom on 1/2 and Epcot on 1/3.

Will the Christmas decorations still be up at MK on the 2nd? And will the Cinderella Castle lighting ceremony and other holiday events still be taking place?

Same questions for Epcot on 1/3. Will the decor still be up, and will the other holiday events still be going on?

We decided upon the first week of the year in hopes that crowds would be less insane. What will the crowds be like when we are there?

Thanks in advance,

Tommy

PS...Any answers at all would help a ton!

Crowds shouldn't be too bad at that time.

As Steve said, most of the Epcot decor will be coming down at that time, and MK will start coming down towards the end of your trip. (Most likely) I was there for that same time period this year, Epcot still had the tree up, but nothing else. MK still had most decor up, as did all the resorts, DHS and AK. However, this last year was by all accounts a fluke due to the extreme cold. But, by the end of our trip, decorations were definitely coming down. Once night at OKW they were up, the next morning they were all gone. You may or may not luck out.
