Has anyone ever stayed here? We are going to be in Orlando for 2 weeks in June and it is $1000 less to stay at this motel rather than stay on Disney Property.

We stayed there in 95 for our honeymoon. I loved the hotel. We paid something like $60 per night with a free buffet breakfast every morning. But by the time we paid for the room and the tickets and our food and all, we ended up spending quite a bit. We only ate out at night (lunch was sandwiches in the room). We met a couple who were also on their honeymoon, who paid just slightly more than us and got airfare from NY a room onsite and I'm assuming the gold package because their food was included.

As far as the hotel itself, I liked it alot. Everyone was extremely friendly. And it was cheap lol. Alot may have changed in 9 years though.

Have you thought of purchasing an annual pass for one of the adults - this would lower your price for a Disney stay by approximately 45%. Check out the annual pass rates on Mousesavers.com - that is if you would rather stay on Disney property. The value rates are around $59 a night and the moderates are around $74 a night. (Good through the first of July) Mousesavers gives you all the instructions to follow. They tell you that you have to have your annual pass to check in, but they never ask me for mine, but just in case - stop in at Guest Services at Downtown Disney a get a pass for one of you before you check in - they never ask me for any number or anything when I make my reservation - If you are going to be at Disney for 7 days or longer it usually pays to get a pass, but the discounts in the hotel rates are great.
OR if you have a Disney Visa Card the rates are $69 & $89. How does these compare with the Holiday Inn?

Also this would enable you to early entry and full advantage to the transportation system. I have stayed at most of the value resorts and all of the moderates and I have enjoyed my stay at all. I am a Grandma with four grandsons ranging in age from 2 yrs to 8 yrs. They really enjoy the things Disney has at their resorts.

We are only going once...and we dont go every year...so is it still worth it for the annual pass? I guess I dont understand all this! It can be very frustraighting to plan this trip. :hammer:

It may benefit one of you to purchase an annual pass. It you are going to be in the parks for more than seven days you should save enough on the pass to pay for it alone in one trip. The real savings comes with the ability to stay at Disney Resorts at a very discounted nightly fare.

I recommend that you go to AllEarsNet.com and read about annual passes under the planning section. Then go the Mousesavers.com and click on WDW Resorts and go to the discounted rates for annual passholders. You might find that you might save enough to cover any additional on the pass. One thing - annual passholder passes are only good for that person - you much insert your fingers when you enter a park and cannot use them for any other person. Child passes are a little different, but may not qualify for the annual passholder rates. I suggest a little research on the above web sites might be very beneficial in your decision making.
