Although the rumors persist regarding the NMBC update at WDW with no actual confirmation. I found a few videos and mp3 sound files of the DL version over at www.magicskyway.com . It looks incredible. Be patient as it loads slowly, but worth the wait.
The Jack Skellington AA looks terrific. Enjoy. :xmas:

Mostly I just wanted to bump the oldest post I could find... BUT a legitimate question...

Since the planning for this sort of thing would happen around this time of year, has anyone heard anything concrete about The Nightmare Before X-Mas finally working it's way over to this coast?

It's always rumored, but I talked to a couple of respectable CM's last year (ones that I know and work with often) that said it seems to be becoming more realistic.

Any solid rumors?

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but when I was very little, mid 70's, we got stuck in the Haunted Mansion. While in the ride, there was a huge storm and the power went out. We sat for a long time before the CM's came around with flashlights to escort us out. I must have been around 6 yrs old. It took me until I was an adult with my own children to venture back in there again. (Mind you for the first few years, my younger son fell asleep in line and slept through the whole mansion and then complained in the morning he didn't get to go in the HM. LOL)

If they were going to do this, would they build all new props and animatronics for the WDW version, or would they send all the ones from Disneyland over here, so DL would be without a HMH for a year?

I'd love to see this come to WDW, but if Disney has to put more money into making new things...well...you know how the suits feel about that sorta thing...lol

This just in - Small World Holiday is going to Tokyo Disneyland. It took them several years to add that one. Haunted Mansion Holiday is only two years old now.

One thing that may hold back WDW's haunted mansion getting the remake for the Holidays is that unlike Disneyland where the people who visit the parks are predominately locals, the majority of people who visit WDW are NOT locals. Rather, they come from across the globe for a single week or two once every couple (if lucky :) ) years and could be disappointed to see the Haunted Mansion not in its original form. That isn't to say it won't happen, but a possible reason if it never comes.

I do think it would be neat though. I really like TNBC and think it would be cool to see the Haunted Mansion re-done for the holidays in that theme.

HMH is NOT coming to WDW this year. I heard it may come after the 5 year run at DL. WDW has already announced a HM event this year, but its a one night thing, and dedicated to the HM, not NBC. DL had had HMH annouced since the end of last year, more than a year before the event. WDW will eventually have HMH, but not anytime soon.


WOW..look at all the abbreviations lol

So that would mean just sending the new decor and animatronics over to WDW rather than making new ones, right?
