Holiday Crowd Question

Hi Everyone!

We are in the process of booking a trip for the week of New Year's next year (Jan.1-7). In the past we have traveled on the week of Christmas, most times coming home on Christmas Eve. However, this will be the first time ever vacationing on the week of New Year's.

I know it going to be jammed, but is it generally more or less crowded than Christmas week? We don't have a problem with crowds because my wife and I are teachers and always have to travel during peak times and are used to crazy crowds. Will this be much worse than we have experienced in the past?

Just want to see what we are getting into and getting ready to brace ourselves for the worst.

Thanks in advance!

Friends who have gone to WDW several times during that week tell me that New Years eve and day are the worst. Shoulder to shoulder with little chance of getting much done. They said after the event day things began quieting down and wasn’t as bad as Christmas crowds.
