I called reservations and was on hold for around 10 minutes...which isn't that bad, I enjoy the Disney stuff...BUT it was a loop of IASW!! I don't mind the song that much, for instance I really like the Sherman's original version...but the rides version...can't stand.

I have to endure that song being stuck in my head...and for that...you all shall too...

Yep pretty much...I put it on speaker just for the enjoyment of other people going through the office..."For all who may pass through my happy place...welcome..."

I am in the minority I like the song it's a small world, I joke with my husband that I should work that ride because I never tire of the song.

That was actually my nightmare when I got accepted into attractions for the CP...although due to some other circumstances I didn't participate this term...but I was slightly concerned that would be my destination.

Although maybe they get paid more, like "Mental sanity hazard pay" or something.

Because of your post, I just realized I used the wrong "due"...wow I screw things up sometimes...and I am usually a "their and your" stickler.

I usually would get Golden Dreams, Pirates Life for Me, Tiki Room Instrumental, Soarin theme, and Pieces from the International gateway music while on hold..

Perhaps when the phone people are tired they keep it on Small World as much as possible with the hope that it will drive people to hang up.

Sounds like the only thing worse than riding Small World is to hear Small World right in your ear on the phone! At least with the ride, you're a good distance from the music but with the phone, it's right there. Even if you put on a speakerphone, it still resonates! Still, the fact that I refuse to address Small World by its full ride name indicates how much I loathe it!
