Hmmm...wonder if this story is totally factual or not? if it is, must be a wonderful time to visit Disney World with shorter wait times right now!

Agree... I'm pretty confident that the reports are accurate. I've been listening to a variety of people who are saying the same things and watching a variety of in-person videos of posters in the parks filming various times of day which shows fairly empty parks. We are going back in May of 26 and that's why I'm eager to have low crowd numbers and take advantage of short wait times if this holds true. Unfortunately Dis may alter their park hours to compensate for this trend.

I was at Magic Kingdom yesterday and we are at EPCOT today. Crowds? Sure, but we have done about everything we wanted to do. No LL.
My observation from previous years is lower crowds in the parks.
YMMV

I've seen similar stories about small park crowds from local reporters as well. Disney has a bunch of things going against it right now. They've priced themselves out of reach for many middle class families, the bad publicity over pulling a comedian's show, boycotts by special interest groups, inflation and a generally poor economy. Their streaming services are evidently getting hit hard as well.

This. (I'm never sure how well boycotts by small numbers of people impact things, but you never know anymore)

And yet, Bob and Disney CFO HUGH G Johnston will talk glowingly about how strong DPEP is doing during the next quarterly meeting. Anyone who watches/listens to that meeting will need to make sure to take a copious amount of Dramamine in order to handle the spin that will happen.

A buddy and I were at DHS in mid August from rope drop to close and we did every attraction without LL and three rides we did twice (Toy Story Mania, Rise and Smugglers Run).
