I'm new to posting on the boards but I've been reading them for some time now.

Just wondering, does anyone think florida has any chance of getting HMH? Though I think leaving it in disneyland does provide diversity between the parks, I am jealous that I can't see it as easily :(

So what does everyone think?

I was wondering the same thing.:brick:

I wish you people would spell things out. I'm not very bright.

I wish I would have been born SMART instead of good-looking...then I could figure these abbreviations out.:hammer:

There's a rummor that they will start it up at MK next Christmas, but to be honest, I have no idea. It seems like every year, there are rummors that MK will get it the "next year".

I heard it's supposed to be in MK in 2004 as well. According to "rumor" the big wigs at Disney wanted to make sure the attraction wasn't a one year hit in California before bringing it to MK. Let's hope this pans out....it's a nice temporary make-over.

There had been talk of bringing it there the last couple of years. I am a former DL CM, and they wanted to test iot to see how it went before putting the time and money into doing it at both parks. I have heard too, that they will start it at WDW in 2004. Hopefully that's the case, it will give more people the opportunity to see it. I look forward to it every year now. I think I enjoy it more than the original mansion, and that is one of my favs. :xmas:

i read a thread ont eh doombuggies message board, where a man who claimed to know a few imagineers said that the project was recently rejected, due to lack of funds, and the idea is currently being pitched in Tokyo Disneyland. Of course this is very un-confirmed, so take it with a bag of salt.

I heard it was comming next year, so I think it would be too early to already reject the makeover....I think it will be interesting to see how they incorporate the MK's Mansion into the ride compared with the one at Disneyland. That one was awesome :)

Don't get me wrong, I love the idea, and would love to see it come to WDW, but I hate the idea that something "Christmasy" is up during Halloween at the HM. TO me, that's when the Haunted Mansion would be at its best, w/o the overlay. Couldn't they put it up closer to the holidays? I know that the movie is about the combination of the two holidays, but... I dunno where I'm going with this post but yea...:hammer:

Actually, plenty of Halloween elements would be in it, because the theme of the ride mixes Halloween with Christmas!

Actually, does the MK ever decorate the Mansion for Halloween anyway? I mean, like, during the Not So Scary Halloween Party, do they ever decorate it with jack-o-lanterns and stuff? You'd think that would be kinda easy to do, just to put a few decorations up here and there.

If I remember right it should be next year....I sware I remember reading a offical statment on it just a while ago???? But turst me HMH is a great thing!!!!!! Well I can't say great cause if you get a good soundtrack it rocks....if you get a version of last years....ummmmm well it is still good. This year we are getting a Ogie Boogie man AA plus I am sure they are playing with the soundtrack again.........(please make it as good as the first years!!!) But when it makes it over to the MK they will have to add a few things and change around some of the things cause of the set up of MK Haunted Mansion comparied to the HM here in DL.

I think the whole idea of revamping attractions for the holidays should stay in DL. WDW has a lot more room to go all out for Christmas (ie.. osbourne spectacle of lights, mvmcp, etc). We dont want to be bombarded by holiday stuff in the parks, do we? :xmas:

I think you're smart, good looking, and funny, tiggerish! :D :animwink:
