HM & IASW Holiday Rehabs

Let's see if I can make this comprehensible: DW, DS and I are planning our first Disneyland trip for the fall (hoping to avoid crowds by going mostly weekdays after labor day). DW really wants to see IASW, and I want to make sure to see HM. Do we have a rough idea of when the rehabs take place every year to do the holiday layovers? I've heard that they stagger them, but I have no idea how long they take...

Ideally, I was hoping to go sometime in October and see HMH and either version of IASW, is it possible?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Both of the rehabs going into the Holiday versions take about three weeks to do. Coming out of the Holiday versions, the rehabs are down to about 12 days.

Haunted Mansion Holiday traditionally debuts the last few days in September. But with the success of the new HalloweenTime season, and Disneyland's expanding on that theme this year even more, I would bet they would try to have HMH up and open a bit earlier this year to coincide with the debut of the HalloweenTime decorations the second or third week in September.

Small World Holiday traditionally debuts on Veterans Day weekend, roughly the second weekend in November.

That said, for 2007, I would think a visit anytime from late September until the third week in October would allow you to see Haunted Mansion Holiday and the basic It's A Small World. Particularly the first or second weeks in October should be just fine for your purposes.

Although, Small World Holiday is many peoples favorite version of that ride, and you might enjoy it more as the Holiday version. It certainly has much longer lines when it is Small World Holiday.
