Hong Kong Disneyland Future Attractions
LP has learnt that Autopia will debut at Hong Kong Disneyland in July 2006. The theme is not Disney/Pixar Cars-related and will fit the land as per imagineer Tim Delaney's designs. The cars are currently being fabricated in the US. The attraction already has an exterior sign featuring "Coming Soon" and a life-size model of the vehicles. Each features a unique "A" motif for Autopia.

LP has also learnt that a new interactive play area tentatively called UFO Zone will debut in 2006 featuring crash-landed shuttles and water spouts and fountains. The location is under the Autopia overpass between Buzz and Space Mountain.

Thank god they aren't themeing it to the Pixar movie "cars". How would that look in Tomorrowland?! Nice to see that they are appropriately themeing it to Tomorrowland. I hope they announce more on POTC, and HM additions soon. But its nice to have Autopia confirmed and out of the way.

Well we didn't know about the UFO play area.
And we all know that the Disney themeparks need more "play areas". :rolleyes:

Especially Hong Kong! Honestly though, if you can't tell Autotopia is coming you are blind. Wish they would have announced something more interesting.

I am pretty sure it was the Chinese Government that would not allow Disney to build Frontierland. But anyway, just go to Tokyo Disney for Westernland...

I haven't heard that (about the Government) but I could understand it.
The West was pretty much built on the backs of Chinese Immigrants.
US and Canada. Not a really proud moment in either's history.
