Hi

I may not be doing much posting due to work but thought it would be polite to introduce myself i'm Sam from Exeter,any of you who visit comic cons in the Uk may of seen me as myself & my partner run Moving Pictures and we have stands at most shows,booked our next trip to WDW so thought it was about time i joined a forum.also not decided on which hotel to stay in when we visit Universal (this year we stayed at Portifino Bay) so going to read some trip reports & hopefully decide soon!

Thank you for the welcome fellow Uk member any tips you have for when we stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge greatly appreciated fell in love with it when we ate at Boma this year & just had to stay there this time

any tips you have for when we stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge greatly appreciated

1) Don't book a Savannah View Room. We first stayed at AKL in 08 and paid for (and enjoyed) waking up to the Savannah view. We returned this year and booked two Standard View rooms - we ended up with two Savannah Views. The theory - AKL doesn't have that many Standard Views - most guests will automatically be upgrade for free.
2) Allow plenty of time to get to the parks (except AK) as AKL is a bit out of the way
