Hilton, in a widened agreement with Tesla, revealed plans to install up to 20,000 Tesla Universal Wall Connectors at 2,000 of its hotels across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico by 2024. This initiative, aimed at serving the rapidly growing number of electric vehicle (EV) travelers, positions Hilton as a premier choice for EV drivers. Each hotel will house at least six chargers. These connectors, recently introduced by Tesla, can charge any North American vehicle model, broadening Tesla's vision of making charging accessible to all EVs. Matt Schuyler, Hilton’s chief brand officer, emphasized the company's dedication to evolving guest needs, stressing the significant advancement in EV charging infrastructure this collaboration represents. Rebecca Tinucci of Tesla highlighted the convenience this brings to EV users, reducing unnecessary refueling stops. The demand for EV charging at Hilton hotels has surged, with the search volume for EV charging on Hilton's website showing substantial growth. This endeavor aligns with Hilton's sustainability efforts under its "Travel with Purpose" platform, underscoring its commitment to environmental responsibility.
