I just wanted to give a shout out to the Hilton Orlando Lake Bunea Vista as a great affordable option. I just came back from a 4-night stay and had a lovely time. I was between that and the All Star Sports which was almost an identical price (even factoring in parking and resort fees)
I paid $217.35 a night (including taxes and resort charge)+ $26.63 for overnight parking for a total of $243.98 a night. However, in addition I got a $50 per night food and beverage credit, so I really only paid $193.98 a night.
Advantages Hilton had over All Stars

Advantages Hilton had over All Stars
- Larger hotel room (I don't have the numbers, but it felt bigger than the 260sqft of all stars)
- 2 onsite table service restaurants (didn't go to benihana, but Covington mill was a really good breakfast option)
- Room service (quite good food once again)
- A cocktail lounge (didn't try but some might like it)
- 5-minute walk to Disney springs
- Ability to book a king size bed
- More compact layout (Farthest room from dinning ~600 ft plus elevator, at All-stars could be over ~1000ft)
- Disney theming
- Disney Transportation
- The Disney Wake up calls
