Hidden Mickey at PotC

I found this mickey a few years ago. I've searched high and low online but no one mentions it. I can't be the only one that has seen it.

I found this mickey while waiting in line at the gift shop behind this guy seriously buying $500 worth of crap (Seriously. His total was $532). I sighed and groaned and rolled my eyes and saw this. This shadow makes a perfect mickey. I looked at all the other lights. None were like this one. I had to wait for our next trip and nightfall to take a pic.

The reason only that one particular light shows it is because the other lights don't have those two smaller wall mounted lights casting shadows on the ceiling by them.

Cool find though. Wonder if it was done on purpose or just simply a matter of luck those smaller lamps cast circles shadows on the ceiling.

Very neat. It is hard to say if that one is intentional or not. I have never read it in any of the books before. But very cool find either way. It makes me wonder how many hidden Mickeys haven't been detected.

Now the question begs, is this a legitimate one or do we look TOO hard for them that we see them everywhere?

I would have to say it is legit cause it might be an "accident" but it dosent happen repeatedly in this area and even according to the hidden mickey book repeating ones like fence posts are hidden mickeys. As for accident or not i wonder why they would put those 3 lights there unless to make a mickey, the lights being that close together just seems weird i guess.

my thoughts exactly. That bookshelf was wide enough to put more lights but there's only those two. It doesn't repeat anywhere else in the room.:king:

According to Hiddenmickey.org there is no registry or list of ALL of the HMs at any of the parks. They are created by imagineers and CMs. Also, sometimes, when they do facelifts or remakes, old HMs get covered while other old ones get reveiled and new ones are created. PotC did have a facelift (relatively) recently. This one could have been created then. Sometimes new ones are discovered or old ones rediscovered. It made me feel good to find this one. That trip, I was looking for some of the HMs documented on that website. So, yes, you could say I was looking hard but it could also be said that I was more attentive ;) anywho. I wasn't looking for this one. In fact, if that guy wasn't buying all that crap and preventing me from paying for my 1 little $5 item I would not have seen it. lol. I feel good having possibly found one "never" seen before :)
