 Hi, I'm planning to spend 5 nights at the Polynesian in April. We can really only afford a Garden view room. Does anyone know which building is the best in that category? Would really appreciate any ideas...Thanks

The renovations have been going on for sometime now, but I'm not sure how many buildings/rooms have been done. We stayed in Rapa Nui with a garden view and it was very nice, we had a top floor room so we had a balcony. It overlooked some beautiful gardens and since Rapa Nui is at the rear of the property (by the path that leads to the TTC) it was very quiet.
Rapa Nui had not been renovated, but the room didn't not look worn at all.

Are there really any bad views at the Poly? I've never stayed at the Poly, so I don't know... just curious. I don't recall anyone ever saying they had a bad view there. We've talked about staying there, but we love POR so much, we can't seem to part with the extra money.

The new rooms look fabulous, from the pictures I've seen at allearsnet. Hope you get lucky enough to get one. You could always call the resort directly and ask how many (and which ones) have been renovated.

We have stayed at Rapa Nui several times and have enjoyed it very much! The garden view is nice, and we liked it because its very close to TTC making it easier to take the monorail to both MK and Epcot!

As far as I know the Rapa Nui 1st and 3rd floors have been renovated, they haven't gotten to the 2nd floor yet. We actually saw some of the construction work they were doing last summer on Rapa Nui (we stayed in Tokelau which we really didnt care as much for, our room was right near a stairwell and we could hear people running up and down the stairs at all hours of the night and day)

Have fun, the Polynesian is the best ;)

last month, we stayed in tahiti and enjoyed it very much. it is one of the farthest from the great ceremonial house, but we really enjoyed the walk especially at night when all the torches are lit. tahiti is on the beach side and we would go down and watch the fireworks from the hammock. all the rooms at the poly are good.
have a great trip:wave:
