HI :) Am hoping to go to DL 2012..May or OCtober?

We love halloween, but I am wondering which is a better time of year to visit?
We are planning on doing four or five nights in the GC, and then hopefully a few nights in San Diego...We would also like to visit Universal & sea world.
It will be just DH & myself......
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

SoCal is beautiful either month, but I would strongly suggest you consider waiting until October.

In May large sections of California Adventure will still be wrapping up major construction, and most of the new stuff isn't expected to open until late June. In addition to the construction at Disneyland, Sea World San Diego is opening a new roller coaster and exhibit in summer '12, and Universal Studios Hollywood is opening a new Transformers thrill ride that summer.

By waiting until October you assure that all the major construction will be over, and the new stuff will be up and running. Also, you'd get to ride the Holiday version of Haunted Mansion that runs October thru Christmas, and do the Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy version they only do in October.

The only thing with October is you've got some nights where Disneyland closes early for Halloween parties. They can be fun to go to, but you'll need to plan a couple months in advance to get the tickets for one of those nights. See the Disneyland website for this year's Halloween calendar for a basic rundown of what the party night dates would be in 2012.

Hmmmm.... I know a super cool couple who just booked Jan 31-Feb 4 at the Grand Californian Villas :wave:

I had no idea you were looking to go too!! We've never been and wanted to do it before President's Day and Spring Break.... then I'm going solo May 5-9 to BWV/he's going to Vegas.... so we just decided to do it right after the holidays!! Hopefully crowds are low and it's cool weather!!! We're excited!!

We'll have to compare notes for planning. I think I've been to this board like 2 other times--funny I found you!!!
