Ok so I went to HHN for opening night and I have to say it was deffinetly a notch up from last year!So I guess I should begin.Keep in mind I do write alot so just bare with me!Oh and if you just want to skim through my ratings are at the end of each houses blurb.
Wow!The entrance to Universal looked amazing there were two JS trucks and two stilt walkers outside, but the real fun came when you got inside. They had clown all over the place. They really weren't scary, but it was opening night so I usually give them a break.I love the motorcycles though even though they were very anoying they looked awsome.

Dead Silence Curse of Mary Shaw:I always get nervous when I go through the first house of the season, and usually I get startled very easily in general, but especially in the first house of the season. This house did not deliver the scares but it more than made up for it in the coolness if that is a word of the house. What really got me was the bridge sceene that makes it feel like your going to fall! They did a great job making this house feel like the movie, but they really need to give all of the Mary Shaws some kind of noice making devise because all they really did was walk up to you and stare at you.All in all I give this house a 3/5.Also this being opening weekend keep in mind that the scareactors may not have found their niche yet,and some of the houses may be scarier than they were opening weekend.

Nightmare on Elm Street Nightwalkers:I was really excited about this house because 1)It involved one of the notorious four this year, and 2)This could really go in any direction and it would fit!As you walk up to the front of the house you watch a movie on a new drug that will help you sleep, but the problem is you are already awake. You enter through a tarp tent that introduces you to the Sleep Well clinic, and of course their is lots of fog blah blah blah. Then you see a really cool rendition of the house from the movie and thus begins the house. You pretty much went through a bunch of dreamsequences, but my favorite was the sideways room.Very cool. Also my favorite room was the boiler room which really startled me a few times!Plus their was a really cool mirror rom too which got me.This house should not be missed!4.5/5

Phsycoscearapy Home for the Holidays: Everyone probably remebers this house from last year and how much it sucked. That is tossed out of the snow covered window! This house deffinetly lived up to what everyone was saying about it.It really felt like a neigborhood. The houses would only be good for a scare or two,but there were quite a few houses that you went through and of course a few backyards. It did a great job of making you feel like you were outside and inside.I got some of my best scares from here and it really gave me hope for the rest of the night!HOS really should think about doing this with Sunny Medows. It dosen't nessesarily have to be Christmas either. It could be any holiday and work.I would have prefeared it be Halloween though.I thought this house was the best of the night 5/5

Vampyr Blood Bath:Umm well after going through After Hours for two years and going to HOS since it started I was really sceptical of this house.Even when you were waiting in line their were Vampires dancing to techno music. However in this house the music is turned way down which is not the case for Club Muse, but from what I hear this year Club Muse is quiet as well. What I found funny was the fact that their was no music at all playing in the club itself and the begining of the house looked like a blatent copy of After Hours.I was however excited to go through sting alley, but then was dissapointed because it wasn't scary at all.Neither was the secound building.I did however notice an Imotep statue in the coffin room. All in all I give this house a 2/5,but I'm giving one point for potential!

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Flesh Wounds:Now out of the three Leatherface is to me the scariest I don't know why but he just is.I really thought this house was going to be scariest.Boy was I wrong.I will say their were deffinetly a few moments that scared me,but I discovered that if you dont make eye contact with the Leatherfaces at the end they wont chase you.Which sucks because that is not the true form of this movie. To see Leatherface just walk by me was really well dissapointing, and after waiting an hour and ten minuetes for this house I was really mad.I mean Run last year was scarier than this. However who ever was the cop at the end by the bus you got me good and also the Leather face by the fence got me good too!I give it a 2/5.

Jacks Funhouse In Clown-O-Vision:I was really hoping this house would be a winner.Thankfuly it was.It really wasn't scary but it was just to much fun.I was pretty much laughing throughout the entire house.Especially through the snot room, but as always the house got darker at the end where you meat Jack and of course there is another hall of mirrors like in Nightmare on Elm Street. This house is not scary, but it is good 3/5.

The Thing Assimilation:I was ready to be scared again so I went to The Thing. The real scary part was how long the freakin line was not the wait time, but the walk to get up to the house. Please remeber you have to enter by E.T.Anyways this house really was not your average tent house it did a really good job and was scary. It was also a bit loud which all of the other houses weren't.As I like to say it was Universal loud.Their were all sorts of neat things througout the house and it felt like you were in the middle of the battle between humans and things. Not to be confused with thing one and thing two. This house should not be missed.4.5/5

Friday the 13th Camp Blood:The last house of the night sadly but it deffinetly didn't dissapoint me.I only wish that Jason would have made more noice when scaring you. This house really had a campy feel to it.I didn't go through Dungeon of Terror last year, but this house more than makes up for it.Jason got me a few times and their was a part when you are feeling through sacks of stuff and one of them moves which scared me.This was a great way to end the night. 4/5

All in all I was deffinetly impressed by HHN this year and what was cooler was the fact that as we left we saw the lead singer of Twisted Sisters andd Micheal Roddy doing an interview which was exciting.Their was somewhat of a scare zone where Harvest of the Souls was last year it really didn't amount to much though. What I found kind of depressing was no scareactors were on the streets it was like a ghost town outside of the houses, but all in all the event majorly improved from last year.I think it was an okay idea to have the terrible trio there, but it really didn't make that much of a difference.Hopefully next year we will have a new icon.I am really excited to see HOS this year which is only two weeks away!I give HHN 17 a 4.5/5 and it can only get scarier as the event continues through October which really gives me hope that this event will be a 5/5 by the time its over.

If you didnt just skip throught the whole thing thank you for reading! <!--IBF.ATTACHMENT_35034-->

I've worked the event every night and while I am in foods I have noticed the streets are getting better. Hopefully when I go at the end they will be much better than they have been.
