Hey everybody... I'm a semi-newbie to this site, so I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a grad student in Massachusetts, and I used to post on this site as Horizons-WDW last year, but am now back after a very long absence with a new name.

Now, we all obviously have bad cases of Disneyitis, and probably everything that gets posted has already been talked about in one form or another, so please just humor me:) That said, I would just like to know when was your most memorable trip to DisneyWorld and why?

Personally, my most memorable trip was when my brother and I took our parents to DisneyWorld for their 25th wedding anniversary, and we stayed in the Villas at the Disney Institute. I will never forget also that it was the first time that I saw my precious Horizons boarded up and closed :( All I know is that the new Space pavillion better be pretty damn cool to take the place of that classic attraction...

I would have to say last summer's trip with my family. It started off as just the four of us, my mom dad sister (jessiecowgirl) and myself. then, a few days before we left, my uncle and his daughter decided to join us for part of our trip. My uncle's mom (he married into the family) had just reciently passed away, and it was pretty hard on him. so this was a much needed pick up for him and jenny, his daughter.

the greatest part was the fact that my dad was being so sentimental! it was the last trip with the family before my sister went off to college at Illinois State, she even left the day after we got home. and I was already at Uni of Illinois, so empty next time was vast approaching for mom and daddy. Dad took tons of pictures, and did anything we wanted to do, and where ever we wanted to eat was not a problem.

but we had a great time. they "suprised" us with one night at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. (my sister and I found out, but didn't let on....) and then off to the DVC Boardwalk villas, then to OKW (where my uncle and cousin joined us), then to a cruise, disney style, with a few days at Vero Beach in the end. I loved every minute of it, and we all had the greatest time!

My most memorable trip to Disneyworld would have to be my first ever trip 7 years ago.... i still remember first sighting Cinderella's Castle from the TTC and walking up Main Street for the first time and seeing the castle... truly magical and it just gets better and better every time we go!!!!

*only 18 days to go*
(so close and yet so far.. just need to get through my A Level exams and then the magic can begin...)

Something about the 1st trip always makes it magical. I also think this past trip when it was the 1st time I got to share WDW with my daughter was great. I look forward to taking her many times in the future and getting to see her enjoy it in different stages as she grows up (we just joined DVC!)

Next trip she will be 23 months old. I am a little concerned about that terrible 2's. But just wait and see. We know how to do Disney, so if she can't handle it we will just step back and relax some at the pool and more laid back activities.

Spring Break 2002 when I went with my family, my brother's friend, and my boyfriend. It was memorable because I overcame my fear of roller coasters and my new favorite Disney ride is a roller coaster. Plus my grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins came to WDW and spent a day with us at Magic Kingdom.

hey monorail green I am pretty new here too. My most memorable trip was two years ago October 29-november 4 It was my honeymoon My husband ansd I stayed at the wilderness lodge .We bought the mickey groom and minnie brides ears and people and castmembers were stopping us congratulating us all over the place. the rose and crown pub was great the waiter gave us a glass of champagne to celebrate and almost everyother restaurant gave us free desserts for congratulations .We got to start tarzan rocks in animal kingdom and we just had a great time everyone treated us wonderfully

i've had several memorable trips! my MOST memorable is a really long story, so i won't go into all the way....but it involved a certain castmember that's my age...i've never actually met him (my dad met him on a Disney bus, and i watched them talk from a distance)...but their meeting resulted in a search for him which is still in effect today! this past May marked the search's 2 year anniversary.

other memorable trips:
1. went with a family from my church on our 3rd trip
2. saw Don Knotts at MGM
3. Micheal J. Fox and his kids sat three rows behind me and my family at Fantasmic
4. my sister took her best friend

and i'm very sure that when i take my best friend next year (Lord willing!) that it will be a very memorable trip as well!

Wow....Hard question! I've had quite a few moments! The last most memorable would be when D/H and I were outside of MK the same nite a shuttle was launched...when we looked one way we could see the fireworks over the castle, when we looked another we could see the shuttle going up! It was pretty kewl! It almost made up for the reason why we were outside of the park instead of on Main Street!

Let's see, my most memorable moment has to be when I was 7 and I was afraid to ride the Haunted Mansion so when I got in the doom buggy my mom held her hands over my ears and my dad covered my eyes...yes I was terrified! My other memory is watching the Main Street Electrical Parade with my cousin, aunt, grandmother, and mom and dad. I was so impressed with the lighted Elliot float with Pete sitting on top of his head! I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!! :sohappy:

90 Days till I return!!!
