It's funny...I LOVE pasta and would normally indulge in more of it on vacay...but with all of the walking and moving around at WDW, I never feel inclined to eat it beyond an appetizer involving some pasta or sampling the mac & cheese to see if it's up to snuff. I mean, just looking at the pastas on the Tutto and Via Napoli menus make me feel like I won't make it past Germany or France (depending on which way I'm going) if I ate them. Case in point, my dad ordered this bowl of creamy goodness at Mama Melrose a couple years ago and as much as I was drooling over it, I just couldn't see eating it and then making the sprint Fantasmic for the pkg seating cutoff time.

We usually don't get pasta at Disney World because my mom makes pasta dishes at home. We did try a pasta dish at Tutto Italia a couple of years ago. I believe it was called Caserecci. It was pretty good. It was a tomato sauce with sausage in it. When we got home my mom decided to make it her self and have to say it was so much better. Talking about pasta is making me excited for my moms homemade pasta and ravioli tomorrow! :)

The seafood risotto at Il Mulino is easily the best Italian starch dish I've had in Disney, but it's rice, not pasta. Still, it's excellent and a large enough portion to split between two people at the bar, if you're in such a situation. That and the parmigiano reggiano appetizer might be the most perfect casual dining Italian dinner for two you can have at Disney World.

I don't think I've ever had a great pasta dish. I would trust Il Mulino to prepare one, but I've yet to sample their pasta menu. Everywhere else that serves Italian on property (except for maybe Portobello) pales horribly in comparison.
