well, had a great holiday so far staying at port Orleans riverside, fly home to bonny Scotland on Saturday......only one issue......mobile scooters + Disney resort buses = one big pain in my familys ! BEFORE ANYONE says anything, I have no issue what so ever with disabled people using them and getting on the bus first, its the ones who either get on the bus first, along with there whole group, which at one time was twelve large, which is ridiculous, why cant the scooter get loaded and the rest of the family queue up like anyone else??? Secondly, for the ones that use scooters cos they are just plain FAT and cant walk, why should they get on first with there whole family???one fat family had three scooters between them and they got the bus driver to put them on the bus as they walked on themselves first, and as each scooter takes up three seats as they have to be folded up,there was hardly.....

any room for other folk as each of them had three seats for each of there scooters and two seats each for there fat , a grand total of 15 seats taken up by them!!!! That's my beef,if you think I've gone over the top please say? :)

driving over on this side of the pond is slightly different lol, maybe one visit we will but as it stands, getting free transportation suits my family to a tee,I just wish they would give out passes to REAL people who are in need of the scooters and only those with those passes got to skip the queues, anyone else has to queue like the rest of us.....what would stop me from hiring a scooter next time and getting my family on first everytime???anyone could do it?but its wrong and dishonest, which is why Disney has to nip it in the bud sooner rather than later!

I'm very hungry so I clicked on this topic more for the beef aspect and not so much for the discussion.

I get seriously annoyed at this while on vacation because we are forced to go during busy seasons. I just try to remember that everyone cannot handle their weight as well as I can for various medical reasons. I don't think there's an easy way to fix this problem, as people who are actually physically disabled might get annoyed if they have to 'prove it' on every ride and bus.

Yeah, I somehow forgot that folks in Scotland drive on the left-hand side. Please feel free to ignore my words of wisdom.
As for the rest of you, my advice still stands. Having your own car (less than $180 for 10 days) is liberating. Grocery runs to Publix, first aid run to Walgreen's, a 10 minute ride to Wilderness Lodge for dinner (instead of 70+ minutes on Disney buses) .... The only place it stinks trying to get to is Magic Kingdom.

I'm just relieved to see that this was not a picture thread.
